Pre-Sales Engineer

In this role, you'll help the team:
  • Qualify deals through collaboration with the Account Executive (AE), and sales management.
  • Conduct Discovery meetings and learn from the customer their business requirements and technical environment
  • Articulate to the Team and to the customer usage scenarios that illustrate the business value desired by the customer.
  • Design and create demonstrations, Proofs-of-Concept (POC), and evaluations that clearly illustrate how to apply our products and services to deliver the required customer value.
  • Execute demonstrations, POCs, and evaluations through coordination of the physical and human resources of our products and services to the customer. Lead the combined team to carry out the agreed upon course of action to prove that Dallas Digital Services delivers the needed value better than our competitors
  • Answer questions and provide technical guidance to the customer’s technical team regarding the demonstrated or evaluated solutions.
  • Assist in sales pipeline building activities including attendance at live and/or virtual trade-shows and industry conferences, working with marketing and or partners on campaign design and execution and other activities specified by sales and pre-sales management.
  • Collaborate with our Partners regarding innovated products.
  • Training and certification on various technologies and maintain certifications with manufactures like Mellanox, Dell/EMC, and HPE.

  • Strong natural and intellectual curiosity especially around the application of technology to solve all kinds of problems.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in the data center products, Data Storage, Backup and recovery analytics, or big data markets preferred but not required.
  • Comfortability talking to all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives.

Senior Account Executive

Objectives of this role:
Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding their focus and anticipating their needs. Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow. Manage communications between upper management and employees. Stay current with company offerings and industry trends. Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations.
  • Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities; compile and analyze data to identify trends.
  • Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings, and client meetings; research and assist with program development for existing clients and new prospects.
  • Perform prospecting activities such as cold calling and networking.
  • Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new opportunities.
  • Ability to understand client needs and negotiate costs and services.
  • A willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software 
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
